Review: Suspicious Partner
March 5 – April 24, Runtime: Even though he comes from a rich family, his mother had an affair with a married man and they had Ji-Hoon. From a young age, he became separated from his mother and began to live with his father’s family. One day, he learns that his mother has a liver disease and she doesn’t have much time left to live. Her only hope is to get a liver transplant. Hye-Soo has lived alone with her daughter Eun-Sung after her husband’s death.
THE SHORT VERDICT: Suspicious Partner is what I would call a reasonably successful blend of crime and romance – a rarity in dramaland, from my personal findings. Great lead actors, excellent OTP chemistry, a quirky supporting cast, and a compellingly delivered Big Bad all come together to make this a solid drama, despite Show sagging.
Lie to Me Episode 8 Recap Posted on by ockoala Just a word of warning for you guys — for the last 10 minutes of episode 8 of Lie to Me, I just sat there and sobbed. Today we got a major game-changer, and a huge course-correction. As much as I worship their writing and always love to bounce thoughts off them, and I welcome DB-ers who want to come play here, it really hurt me to hear them criticized for that decision.
DB is their blog, and the recaps their labor of love. So try to be thoughtful and considerate of what they do, and chill it over there. When I almost dropped My Princess and 49 Days, I got considerable hate comments, mostly wondering if I have any taste in dramas. I may not have good taste, but no one can dictate my decisions to write about what moves me.
Same goes for the ladies at DB.
Bride of the Century Episode 6 Recap
And our hero has to decide whether to be a hero, or do his job. Yoo-bum is happy to oblige and notes that the main character—a murderer—is a writer and professor just like Professor Moon. Hong-joo was there with a camera crew to interview him about his plans to donate all the profits to scholarships for aspiring writers.
TT Aug 13 am I wish I made a commented this back when this was releasing, but I greatly recommend this drama. This drama breaks a lot of romance tropes common in normal kdramas. The big thing for me is that this is rarely a “manly dude” and “helpless .
Dec 23 1: I found episode 15 sad and actually cried watching it; but at the same time I found parts of it so funny. I love the parts with Pedro and Sun-Nyeo: I’ve been waiting for PTY to finally figure out why he was doing what he was to Ki-Young – idiot, you love her and don’t know how to deal with it. Ugh, how is this show going to end. I’m hoping PTY kicks his wife to the curb and ends up with the person he’s been in love with for a lot longer than he’d admit.
Please end this drama is a good way, I don’t think my heart can take it any more. Dec 22 He has to stand up to them, cut off all ties, find a job to support ki young and dan. I mean, he loves her, and all he wants is for ki young to love him. Screw the parents, they’re cruel and mean. If they just agreed to the marriage in the first place there wouldn’t be a problem.
When a young woman learns that she has only a few months to live, she starts living life to the fullest and becomes an absolute pain for her workaholic supervisor. No matter how hard she tries, she cannot find a steady job. She becomes so tired and depressed because of her repeated failures that she decides to commit suicide. She even fails at that.
Being the son of a royal family, Jumong was the founder of Goguryeo in 37 BC. He was raised by King Geum Wa who took him and his mother in when his father, General Hae Mo Su was believed to have been killed in an ambush by the Han Dynasty.
Completely biased reviews and fangirling Review: Suspicious Partner is what I would call a reasonably successful blend of crime and romance — a rarity in dramaland, from my personal findings. Great lead actors, excellent OTP chemistry, a quirky supporting cast, and a compellingly delivered Big Bad all come together to make this a solid drama, despite Show sagging somewhat in its later episodes. Perhaps most importantly of all, Show ends on a satisfying note — another rarity in recent dramaland history again, from my personal findings , and therefore a plus point not to be taken lightly in my books.
Overall, a pretty engaging and rewarding watch. Generally, I find these to be unnatural and uneasy bedfellows, and my own attempts at watching such shows have turned out more misses than hits. Instead, I actually felt engaged. Which is a very good thing indeed. When Ji Wook glowers fiercely and growls at people to get lost, he reminds me of Badass Healer. Both very good things indeed, in my books. Ji Chang Wook does a fantastic job making Ji Wook a different and separate character, and I found a lot to enjoy in Ji Wook, whom I found to be quite adorkable, with his prickly outer shell and his marshmallow underbelly.
Often, I felt like he communicated so much, without having to say anything at all. All of that is so evident, without him having to say a word.

While You Were Sleeping: Episodes by girlfriday. A new case makes a good portion of the cast intersect in some complicated ways, and our dreamers have to decide whether knowing the future is helpful or more harmful in some cases.
They stay true to themselves as the show manages to tie up all the loose ends nicely, leaving me feeling like everyone gets the ending they deserve. Ki-tae turns and walks away, leaving Jang-mi alone at the altar. While they talk, Ki-tae accidentally finds the envelope of postcards from Dad and swipes them. Ki-tae suggests they go see her father, since they now have his address.
Finally he pulls over at a rest stop also against her wishes and orders lunch, saying he needs energy to endure her while she takes her upset out on him. He finally gets Jang-mi to eat by saying they can leave as soon as the food is gone. Jang-mi asks why Ki-tae went to see her mom in the first place, and he says he was jealous that she was getting so much affection from his mother and he wanted the same from her mom.
But Ki-tae is sure her parents will make up, and even bets on it: If her parents get back together, Jang-mi has to marry him. I love his reasoning, that if the worst marriage she knows can work out, then surely theirs will too. He reclaims them and they adorably tickle-hug-wrestle for possession of the envelope.
A passing fisherman picks up the envelope when Ki-tae drops it, and says he knows the man who wrote it, and that he was heading to Seoul today to close his chicken restaurant. When Jang-mi asks what Dad ever did to give Mom assurance, it takes all the fight right out of him, but the news that Mom has cancer hits him even harder.

Completely biased reviews and fangirling Review: A show that manages to showcase friendship, romance, family, and reaching for your dreams, all in one cozy, ragtag package. Despite bits of heightened drama, Show manages to feel organic and relatable pretty much all the way through. Homey and heady, at the same time, in the best way.

Cinderella story like plot where an arranged marriage bring together the poor girl and the prince. Although plot dragged at the end! Watch it for Yoon Eun Hye, her cute and bubbly princess is highlight of this drama I saw this quite by accident originally but after the first episode, the rest just had to be seen. The story line left me torn most times but in a good way.
Definitely recommend this to anyone who saw any of the others on this list. A great Romantic Comedy! I didn’t expect to like this drama very much but I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I got hooked. V 77 Comments 13 Heartstrings At first, I felt that this drama is just going to be slow and dull. But, gradually as the story progressed it was more than a delight to watch such a lovely drama. More so, because Lee Shin is the perfect boyfriend out there, he is supportive, intuitive, considerate, sacrificing, caring, a sweetheart, handsome, affectionate and the list goes on.

Mar 10, · I said in episode 1 of Bride of the Century that leading lady Yang Jin Sung was doing a decent job playing two characters, the optimistic and caring Doo Rim and the self-absorbed and haughty Yi Kyung. That opinion really needs to be dialed up a notch after episode 6 ushered in way more Yi Kyung than I can stomach but allowed for a side-by-side comparison of the two characters.
Bride of the Century Episode 6 Recap Posted on by ockoala I said in episode 1 of Bride of the Century that leading lady Yang Jin Sung was doing a decent job playing two characters, the optimistic and caring Doo Rim and the self-absorbed and haughty Yi Kyung. That opinion really needs to be dialed up a notch after episode 6 ushered in way more Yi Kyung than I can stomach but allowed for a side-by-side comparison of the two characters. Episode 6 unexpectedly brought Yi Kyung back to the fold, allowing the story to take another turn by ending the Doo Rim charade for now.
Our favorite matchmaking ghost was missing in episode 5 but makes a very important return in episode 6 to both point Doo Rim back in the right direction as well as lend her helping hand to Kang Joo. Doo Rim walks out on stage and looks very hesitant. She sits down on the bench and pauses for a long time before suddenly starting to play beautifully. Roo Mi stares in shock that her plan was foiled.
Yi Hyun runs in and stares as well before running out. Quick rewind as we see Yi Hyun having a near miss with Yi Kyung in the parking garage and then Yi Kyung gets a call from her mom to get herself to the orphanage to switch back with Doo Rim who is about to get outed. If that happens then the game is over!
